On the 16th January 2019 Climatic services were successful in achieving accreditation to the ISO IEC 17205:2017 standard by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). Our laboratory number is 10391. Our scope is fairly modest but we are happy with the achievement, where we gained our initial accreditation in a relatively short period of time and became one of the first laboratories in the UK to be accredited to the new 2017 standard. Currently our scope covers the UKAS calibration of temperature indicators and recorders with sensors, dry block calibrators and temperature-controlled fridges, freezers, ovens and environmental chambers all across the range -90 to +125°C. One of our goals for 2021 is to extend our scope so we can better support our valued customers. We have already acquired a new dry block calibrator that will increase our capabilities somewhat as it has a top temperature of 700°C. Likewise we have added additional precision sensors to our assets to cover the extended range for both on-site and in-house accredited calibration work with the hope we can carry out UKAS temperature calibrations on temperature indicators and recorders with sensors, Block calibr ators and temperature-controlled fridges, freezers, ovens and environmental chambers from -90°C to over 500°c and up to 700°C for UKAS traceable work. We are pleased to offer on-site traceable and UKAS temperature calibration. this does not only cover our instrument business but also our traditional environmental chamber customers. we can carry out single and multipoint calibrations on your chambers across our current range as per our current scope.
